It's 7 plys of non-prissiness, it's a gourmet professional workhorse. Can't believe how well it cooks. The sooner you buy these, the greater the value, because they are lifetime pieces. I used this pan last night to make a bechamel-based turkey tetrazinni that went from stove to oven to table beautifully. It turned out one of the best dishes Ive ever made. Loved this casserole so well, I went out and bought the reduction pan today. Can't wait to use it. My pan says its made in Belgium (not US). It's heavy duty, but not unwieldy.
